This entry features an image from along the Greenway. The Greenway is funded and managed by members of the Bear Creek Greenway Foundation. From the BCG Foundation's web site:

"The Bear Creek Greenway is a narrow corridor of public-owned land that follows the lush Bear Creek streambed from Ashland to Central Point. The Greenway is spread out over 600 acres of pristine southern Oregon landscape and will one day include a continuous 21-mile path from Oak Street in Ashland to the Seven Oaks Interchange in Central Point."

The odometer today has reached 350 miles. This is a pretty good measure of how many miles I was driving my truck. Locally, fuel is $2.81/gal, and my truck is getting about 22 mpg. This translates to a $44.70 savings at the pump. I expect my distance to work will double when I move from Talent to near Phoenix. so I expect riding the eCruiser instead of driving the truck may save potentially $90/month.

A few days ago, I purchased a 24" bungie band. Made of the same material as a bungie cord, it is a 2"-wide band with large hooks on the ends. I have wrapped it arond the battery pack, hooking to the seatpost. The batteries are no longer shuffling about, held more securely to the rear rack by the bungie band.
