Daktari was originally introduced in 2003. It continues to offer features that rival many good HTML code editors. At the same time, Daktari also helps organize web site projects.

Daktari's library browser opens web pages for source viewing and editing. Text is colorized to simplify viewing page source. Menus provide a good compliment of dynamic HTML markup commands. Daktari's style and image panels simplify implementing layers and images to web pages. Quick links to excellent HTML, CSS and PHP references online.
A unique Parts drawer provides lists of clips, project images, and double-click access to a web page's styles, functions and elements. Images may be added to a web page by double-clicking. Clips and elements may be dragged and dropped into web pages. Element names, the full text of clips or basic syntax of functions is inserted. Selections from web pages may be dragged to the Clips list to be stored for later use in other web pages.
Visit the Daktari web pages to learn more and download a copy to try out.
